Monochromatic

Monochromatic refers to artwork or design that uses only one color or hue, along with variations in its shades, tones, and tints. In monochromatic art, the artist explores the depth and range of a single color by manipulating its lightness and darkness, as well as its intensity.

For example, a monochromatic painting could consist entirely of different shades of blue—ranging from deep navy to light sky blue—without introducing any other colors into the composition. This approach often creates a unified, harmonious look, as the focus is on texture, contrast, and subtle variations within the chosen color.
